I really love the farmer's market and fresh lemonade. I am a bit of an adventurer, definitely a traveler and sometimes a home body. When I was in 10th grade, my family moved to Edinburgh, Scotland. My first job out of college was teaching high school in Detroit. And photography has always been a part of who I am.

After attending photography school in Santa Barbara, California and mastering my technique, Julie Afflerbaugh Photography was born. My passion became documenting all the joys in life; marriage, pregnancy, childhood and relationships. I feel blessed to photograph weddings and portraits all over the country and cherish lifetime connections with my clients.

My style is artistic and spontaneous. The energy in my photographs comes from the relationship I build with my clients. Because we have fun and grow comfortable with each other, the photographs are more natural and real.
